Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a lawyer, and during a fall holiday with my Mom in September 2007, I made the decision to apply to Osgoode Hall. Like most things I tackle, there were very short deadlines and only one opportunity. This has become my habit, I was determined to meet the deadlines and be accepted to Osgoode Hall. I resigned from my position as a regional controller, submitted my application and wrote the standardized test. In reality, I did what my Dad told me never to do…I put all my “eggs in one basket.” Had I not been accepted to Osgoode Hall I would have been unemployed and competing in the tough job market for another accounting position.
One year after that holiday conversation with my mom, I started law school at Osgoode. My journey through law school and my articles were both challenging and rewarding and on June 12, 2012, I was called to the Ontario Bar.
Shortly after my call, I opened my own practice. I have been able to call upon my previous business experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant to assist me in setting up my practice, as well as helping me meet my clients’ needs.
My practice is quite unique as I meet with most of my clients in their homes. It is my hope that by practicing law this way, my clients are more at ease and comfortable discussing their legal issues.
I have a general practice dealing in Real Estate, Estate Planning and Administration, Family Law and Corporate work.
